Manufacturing software for small factories in Pakistan

The Manufacturing add-on turns Taajir into a production system for small factories. Raw material goes in, finished stock comes out, and you see what every production run really cost.

Recipes with wastage

Write the bill of materials (BOM) for each product once, with a wastage percentage and any by-products that go back to stock.

Production orders with real stock moves

Release an order, issue the material and record the output. Raw material goes down and finished goods go up.

Planned vs actual cost

Every run shows what it should have cost and what it did cost: material, labour, overhead and cost per unit.

Workstations and downtime

Set an hourly rate for each machine or workstation, use the shop-floor screen and record downtime.

Material requirements

Taajir works out the raw material a plan needs. Buy the shortfall in one click, or make it if it has its own recipe.

18 industry presets

Start from a preset for food, plastics, garments, assembly, mills and more, then adjust it to your factory.

Where small factories lose track

A small factory in Gujranwala, Sialkot or Faisalabad usually runs on two registers and the owner's memory. One register says how much raw material came in. Another says how many finished pieces went out. What happened in between, how much material each batch actually used, how much went to waste and what one finished piece cost, is a rough guess. The selling price is set from that guess.

The guess is often wrong by a few rupees a piece. On a run of a few hundred pieces, a few rupees a piece is a month's electricity bill. Our page for manufacturers covers the wider picture. This page is about the module that fixes the costing.

What the Manufacturing add-on does

  • Recipes (BOM): list the raw material for one unit of each product, with a wastage percentage and by-products. Multi-level recipes are supported, so a part you make yourself can be an ingredient in another product.
  • Production orders: release the order, issue material from stock, record the output. Every step moves real stock.
  • Costing: planned cost from the recipe, actual cost from what was really used, split into material, labour and overhead, with a per-unit figure.
  • Workstations: hourly rates for machines and lines, a shop-floor screen and downtime tracking.
  • Batches and expiry: each run can carry a batch with an expiry date, sold first-expiry-first-out at the counter. See batch and expiry tracking.
  • Material requirements: see what a plan needs against what is in stock, then raise a purchase for the shortfall in one click.

Because it runs inside Taajir, the finished goods are sold on the same invoices, to the same customer ledgers, with the same reports as the rest of the business.

A worked example: plastic chairs

A plastic furniture maker plans a run of 500 chairs. The recipe says each chair takes 2.5 kg of granules at Rs 320 a kg, with 4% wastage. The moulding machine is set up as a workstation at Rs 1,500 an hour. Here is the plan next to what actually happened:

Cost linePlannedActual
Granules1,300 kg = Rs 416,0001,350 kg = Rs 432,000
Machine time at Rs 1,500 an hour40 hours = Rs 60,00044 hours = Rs 66,000
OverheadRs 24,000Rs 24,000
Total for 500 chairsRs 500,000Rs 522,000
Cost per chairRs 1,000Rs 1,044

The planned 1,300 kg is 500 chairs × 2.5 kg = 1,250 kg, plus 4% wastage. The run used 50 kg more and the machine ran 4 hours longer, maybe from a breakdown that the downtime record will show. The result is Rs 44 more per chair, Rs 22,000 on the run. If the chair sells at Rs 1,200, the owner thought he made Rs 200 a chair. He made Rs 156. Without the actual cost, he would never have known, and his next price list would carry the same mistake. The real cost per chair is the figure to use for your cost of goods sold and your next price list.

What it costs

Manufacturing is an add-on that works on either Taajir plan. It is Rs 2,000 a month, or Rs 11,000 for the year when you pay for a yearly plan. A small factory on Standard yearly pays Rs 36,000 + Rs 11,000 = Rs 47,000 for the whole year. Paid monthly, the same setup is Rs 4,000 + Rs 2,000 = Rs 6,000 a month, which is Rs 72,000 a year. A factory with a separate raw material godown and a finished goods godown needs Business for multiple warehouses: Rs 50,000 + Rs 11,000 = Rs 61,000 a year. There is no charge per user, so every supervisor can have a login.

Getting started

  1. Start the 7-day free trial. It has full access, including the Manufacturing add-on.
  2. Pick the industry preset closest to your factory.
  3. Import raw materials and finished products from Excel, then write recipes for your top five products.
  4. Run one real production order end to end with the AiroxLab team on a video call.

When you need more

If you process customers' material instead of your own, look at job work software. If your factory needs screens beyond these, AiroxLab can scope a custom manufacturing ERP after a call.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is manufacturing included in the Standard plan?

No. Manufacturing is an add-on at Rs 2,000 a month, or Rs 11,000 a year with a yearly plan. It works on both Standard and Business.

Can a recipe include wastage?

Yes. Each recipe has a wastage percentage, and by-products can be sent back to stock.

Does it show the real cost of each production run?

Yes. Every run shows planned and actual cost for material, labour and overhead, and the cost per unit.

Can it tell me what raw material to buy?

Yes. Material requirements compare what a plan needs with what is in stock. You can buy the shortfall in one click, or make it if it has its own recipe.

Does it handle batches and expiry dates?

Yes. Batches with expiry dates, first-expiry-first-out selling and a batch recall report are part of the Manufacturing add-on.
