FBR integrated POS for restaurants and shops in Pakistan

If your business has to report sales to FBR or issue PRA e-invoices, ArfaPOS does it from the same counter you bill on. Every invoice goes to FBR and every receipt carries its QR code, without a separate machine.

FBR ePOS integration

Invoices are sent to FBR as they are billed, from the ArfaPOS counter software.

PRA e-invoice receipts

Receipts print as PRA e-invoices on your normal 58mm or 80mm thermal printer.

QR code on every receipt

Each tax receipt carries a QR code, so a customer or inspector can check it.

No separate FBR machine

The integration runs inside ArfaPOS on your counter PC. There is no extra box to buy or keep running.

Included on Growth and Business

FBR integration is part of Growth (Rs 9,999) and Business (Rs 14,999), and a Rs 2,500 monthly add-on on Starter.

What an FBR integrated POS does

An FBR integrated POS reports each sale to the tax authority as it happens, and prints a receipt the customer can verify. For a restaurant in Punjab the provincial side is PRA, which handles sales tax on services, and its e-invoice receipts carry a QR code. Many businesses still run a billing system for the counter and a separate setup for tax invoices, which means two records of the same sale that never quite match.

ArfaPOS puts both on one counter. The cashier bills the order the normal way, ArfaPOS sends the invoice to FBR through its FBR ePOS integration, and the receipt prints as a PRA e-invoice with its QR code. Nobody types the sale twice. If you want the basics of what a tax invoice must show first, read our guide on the sales tax invoice in Pakistan.

Whether your business must integrate, and which rate applies to you, depends on your registration and the rules in force. Confirm with your tax adviser. ArfaPOS handles the invoices and receipts; it does not file your returns.

What changes at the counter

  1. The cashier builds the order as usual: dine-in, takeaway, walk-in or delivery.
  2. Payment is taken by cash, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, card or bank, or split across them.
  3. ArfaPOS sends the invoice to FBR and prints the receipt with tax and the QR code.
  4. The sale lands in your reports with the tax amount, ready for your accountant.

For the cashier, the flow is the same as any other bill. That matters on a busy night, because a tax step that slows the queue is the step staff start skipping. For the owner, it means one record of every sale. The figure in your sales report, the receipt in the customer's hand and the invoice sent to FBR all come from the same order, so there is no second register to reconcile at month end and no gap for an inspector to ask about.

How the tax shows on a bill

The rate is set in ArfaPOS to whatever applies to your business. The example below uses 16% only to show the arithmetic.

LineAmount (Rs)
Chicken karahi (half)1,600
4 naan200
Mutton pulao1,000
2 soft drinks (1.5 litre)400
Subtotal3,200
Sales tax at example rate of 16%512
Total on the receipt3,712

The receipt the family takes home shows these lines and the QR code. The same figures sit in your sales report, so the tax collected for the month is a number you read off the screen, not one you rebuild from a box of parchis. Which plan makes sense

SetupMonthly (Rs)What you get
Starter + FBR add-on7,499Billing, expenses, reports, offline mode, FBR and PRA
Growth9,999Everything above plus KDS, inventory, loyalty, riders, up to 10 cashiers, FBR included
Business14,999Everything in Growth plus multi-branch, payroll, tablet ordering, website, FBR included

Starter at Rs 4,999 plus the Rs 2,500 FBR add-on comes to Rs 7,499 a month, which suits a single counter that only needs billing and tax. Growth is Rs 2,500 more than that and already includes FBR, along with the kitchen display, inventory and staff permissions. A restaurant that will want those features soon is usually better off starting on Growth.

Keeps working through load-shedding

ArfaPOS is offline-first. Billing carries on when the internet drops, and orders sync automatically when the connection returns. Ask us during setup how your invoices behave during an outage, so your staff know what to expect before the first long power cut. For the full counter, see restaurant POS software, and for shops, retail POS software.
