Learn JavaScript in Bhakkar
Month 2 is all JavaScript. You take the static pages from Month 1 and make them work: adding items, calculating totals, saving bills and searching through them.
- Variables, data types and operators
- Conditions and loops
- Functions, parameters and return values
- Arrays and array methods: map, filter, reduce, find
- Objects for items, customers and bills
- Working with numbers and rounding money correctly
- Selecting and changing elements in the DOM
- Events: clicks, typing, form submit
- Form validation and showing errors
- Saving data in localStorage
- JSON: reading and writing structured data
- Asynchronous code: promises, async and await
- Calling an API with fetch
- Debugging with the browser console and breakpoints
A working billing screen in the browser: search items from a product list, add them to a bill, change quantities, apply a discount, see the total update instantly, save bills to localStorage and view a list of today's bills with a running sales total.
Why JavaScript gets a whole month
JavaScript is the language that makes web pages do things. It runs in every browser, and with Node.js (Month 3) and Electron (Month 4) it also runs on servers and desktop computers. That makes it the one language that carries you through the rest of this course. Time spent getting it right here pays off in every later month.
It is also where most self-taught learners get stuck. Watching tutorials feels easy, then a blank file feels impossible. This month is designed to close that gap with daily practice on one growing project, so you learn to write code from scratch rather than only follow along.
How Month 2 runs
Classes are in person at the AiroxLab office in Bhakkar. The first week covers the core language: variables, conditions, loops and functions, practised with small problems drawn from shop work. For example: given a list of items with rates and quantities, write a function that returns the bill total. Then: return only the items where stock is below 10. These exercises are short, and you write each one yourself.
From the second week, the language meets the page. You learn the DOM and events, and start turning the HTML invoice from Month 1 into a working billing screen. Each week adds a feature, and each feature is committed to your GitHub repository.
- Week 1: core language and problem-solving exercises.
- Week 2: DOM and events; items get added to the bill with a click.
- Week 3: arrays and objects in depth; quantity changes, discounts and totals.
- Week 4: localStorage, JSON, fetch and async code; saving and loading bills.
The billing screen project
By the end of the month your billing screen does real work. You type part of an item name and matching products appear. Click one and it joins the bill. Say a customer buys 3 cooking oil packs at Rs 560 each (Rs 1,680) and 10 kg flour at Rs 120 per kg (Rs 1,200). The subtotal updates to Rs 2,880 as you add each line. Apply a Rs 80 discount and the total becomes Rs 2,800. Press save, and the bill is stored. A second screen lists today's bills and adds up the day's sales.
You also learn the small details that matter in money software, like why 0.1 + 0.2 does not equal 0.3 in JavaScript and how to round amounts so totals never drift by a paisa.
What you should already know
Month 1 covers what you need: HTML structure, CSS layout and saving work with Git. If you are joining with some background instead, you should be able to build a simple page with a form and a table. No math beyond basic arithmetic is required.
What comes next
Right now your bills live in one browser. In Month 3 you move them to a server with Node.js and store them properly with SQL. The course fee is Rs 10,000 per month; read about the full plan at AiroxLab Academy or apply here.
Questions people ask
Can I join directly at Month 2 if I already know HTML and CSS?
Send an enquiry on WhatsApp at +92 311 2377741 and describe what you already know. The course is planned as one 5-month path, so the team will tell you what makes sense for you.
Is JavaScript the same as Java?
No. They are different languages with similar names. JavaScript runs in browsers and, with Node.js, on servers and desktops, which is why this course uses it throughout.
Do you teach React in this month?
Month 2 focuses on plain JavaScript and the DOM. Understanding these well is what makes any front-end library easier to learn later.
How much practice is expected outside class?
Regular practice at home makes a big difference. Each week has project work on the billing screen, and finishing it before the next class keeps you on track.
Will I build something I can show others?
Yes. The billing screen is a complete, working project kept on your GitHub profile.
