Taajir

Billing software for shops and wholesalers in Pakistan

Taajir replaces the carbon-copy parchi book with clear printed or WhatsApp invoices. Each bill updates stock and the customer's balance, so the counter work you already do also keeps your books.

Fast counter billing

Pick the customer, add items and quantities, and the totals, line discounts and GST are worked out for you. A POS screen handles walk-in sales.

Cash and udhaar on one bill

Record what the customer paid now. The balance goes to their ledger automatically.

Send bills on WhatsApp

The invoice PDF can go to the customer's WhatsApp the moment you save it, instead of a parchi that gets lost.

Quotations, orders and challans

Estimates convert to invoices in one click. Sale orders and delivery challans cover the steps before the bill.

Your bill, your design

Invoice templates carry your logo, signature and terms. Print on A4 as PDF or on a thermal receipt printer.

Billing during power cuts

Offline mode keeps the counter running when the internet goes, and syncs later. The Windows desktop app runs well on older counter PCs.

The trouble with the parchi book

Handwritten bills have served Pakistani bazaars for generations, and they still work for a cup of tea. For a business doing dozens of sales a day, they cause problems that cost real money. Totals get added wrong in a rush. The carbon copy fades or goes missing. A customer says he paid Rs 5,000 on the bill, the shop says Rs 3,000, and nobody can prove either. And at the end of the day, nobody knows what was sold without going through the whole book.

Billing software fixes the bill itself, but the bigger benefit is what happens after. In Taajir, the invoice is the starting point for everything else: stock, customer balance, cash received and reports.

What a Taajir invoice looks like in practice

Say an electrician comes to a hardware and electrical shop in Multan and buys supplies for a house job. The counter boy selects the customer and adds the items:

ItemQtyRateAmount
LED bulb 12W10Rs 350Rs 3,500
Extension board, 4 socket4Rs 1,200Rs 4,800
MCB 32A2Rs 650Rs 1,300
SubtotalRs 9,600
DiscountRs 100
Bill totalRs 9,500
Paid in cashRs 5,000
Added to customer balanceRs 4,500

One entry does four jobs. The customer gets a clear bill, on paper or on WhatsApp. Stock of bulbs, boards and MCBs goes down. Rs 5,000 is recorded as cash received. And Rs 4,500 lands in the electrician's ledger, so next time he comes in, the counter can see what he still owes.

What to look for in billing software

  • Speed at the counter. If billing is slower than writing a parchi, staff will stop using it during the rush.
  • Udhaar handling. In Pakistani trade most regular customers buy on credit. The software must split paid and unpaid on the same bill.
  • Stock link. Billing that does not reduce stock means you still need a separate stock register.
  • Works offline. Load-shedding and internet drops should not stop sales.
  • Control over staff. You should decide who can give discounts, edit bills or delete them.
  • Sharing on WhatsApp. Customers keep WhatsApp messages. They lose paper.

Taajir covers each of these. Role permissions decide who can do what, sensitive actions such as deleting a bill can need a PIN, and the audit log shows any change made to a bill after it was saved.

More than the sale invoice

Many sales do not start with a bill. A contractor asks for a rate first, a shop confirms an order for next week, or goods leave the godown before the final invoice is made. Taajir has a document for each step:

  • Estimates (quotations) that turn into a sale invoice in one click when the customer agrees.
  • Sale orders to keep track of confirmed business that has not been billed yet.
  • Delivery challans with PDF and print, for goods sent out with the driver.
  • Sale returns linked to the original invoice, so stock and the customer's ledger both correct themselves.

See quotation and delivery challan software for a full walk-through of this flow.

Sales tax invoices for registered businesses

If your business is registered for sales tax, your bills need extra details, such as your NTN and STRN, and GST on each line. Taajir includes an FBR-style GST report for this. See GST invoicing software for how that side works, or our guide to the sales tax invoice in Pakistan.

End of day without the calculator

Discounts are another quiet leak. In a busy shop, a counter boy who rounds Rs 9,640 down to Rs 9,500 for every regular customer can give away thousands of rupees a week without anyone noticing. With billing software, every discount is written on the bill, and you can decide which staff are allowed to give one at all.

When the shutter comes down, the owner wants three numbers: how much was sold, how much cash should be in the drawer, and how much went out on udhaar. With every bill in Taajir, these come from the reports instead of from adding up a stack of parchis. If the cash in the drawer does not match, you can look at the day's bills one by one and find the gap the same evening, not two weeks later.

Price and setup

Billing is part of Taajir and costs nothing extra. On the Standard plan a single shop pays Rs 4,000 a month, or Rs 36,000 a year (Rs 3,000 a month effective), and gets billing, stock, ledgers, payments, expenses, WhatsApp sharing and reports together. There is no charge per invoice, and every counter boy can have his own login at no extra cost. Start with the 7-day free trial at taajir.pk, and the AiroxLab team will train your counter staff over WhatsApp, phone or video call.
