Accounting software for small businesses in Pakistan
Most shop owners do not want to learn debits and credits. They want to know who owes them, whom they owe, where the cash went and whether the month made money. Taajir records all of that from the work you already do.
Ledgers that fill themselves
Sales and purchases update customer and supplier ledgers automatically. No separate posting.
Payments in and out
Record every receipt and payment by cash, bank, JazzCash or EasyPaisa. One payment can settle several invoices at once.
Expenses in their place
Rent, salaries, electricity, fuel and chai-pani recorded under clear categories, with the receipt attached.
Zakat kept separate
Charity and Zakat go to their own ledger, so they never get mixed into shop expenses.
P&L summary and GST report
A profit and loss summary worked out from your entries, plus an FBR-style GST report, exported to PDF or Excel.
Accounting for traders, without the jargon
Search for accounting software and you will find tools built for accountants. They assume you know what a journal voucher is and why a trial balance must agree. That is fine for a chartered accountant. For the owner of a cloth shop in Faisalabad or a medicine distributor in Peshawar, it is a wall.
Taajir takes a different starting point. You do the things a trader does every day: make a sale, buy stock, receive money, pay a supplier, pay the bijli bill. Taajir keeps the accounts behind those actions. Your customer and supplier ledgers, cash records and expense records are always up to date because they come from the same entries.
The four questions every owner asks
| Question | Where Taajir answers it |
|---|---|
| Who owes me, and how much? | Customer balances in the party ledger, part of accounts receivable |
| Whom do I owe? | Supplier balances in the party ledger |
| Where did the cash go? | Payment history by party and method, and expenses by category |
| Did I make money this month? | The P&L summary, built from sales, purchases and expenses |
A worked month: from sales to what is left
Here is a simplified month for a garment shop. It shows how the figures you already record add up to the answer to 'did I make money?'.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Sales for the month | Rs 1,250,000 |
| Cost of the goods that were sold | Rs 1,000,000 |
| Gross profit | Rs 250,000 |
| Shop rent | Rs 60,000 |
| Salaries for 3 staff | Rs 90,000 |
| Electricity | Rs 25,000 |
| Other expenses | Rs 15,000 |
| Total expenses | Rs 190,000 |
| Net profit | Rs 60,000 |
Two things stand out. First, the shop sold Rs 12.5 lakh but kept Rs 60,000. The gap between turnover and profit surprises many owners who judge the month by how busy the counter was. Second, every line in this table depends on recording things properly: sales on bills, purchases against suppliers, and every expense, including small ones. Leave out Rs 500 of daily chai and fuel and you overstate profit by Rs 15,000 a month. In Taajir, this table is the P&L summary report, worked out automatically from the bills and expenses you have entered. Zakat and charity sit in their own ledger, so they do not distort the shop's expenses. For the difference between the two kinds of profit, read gross profit vs net profit.
What changes when you move off paper
- Disputes get shorter. When a customer questions a balance, you show every bill and payment on their ledger, with dates.
- Supplier payments get planned. You can see all you owe before the supplier's salesman walks in.
- Digital payments get matched. A JazzCash or EasyPaisa transfer is recorded against the customer, and one payment can be linked to several of his invoices.
- Cash stops leaking. Every payment out has a party or an expense head, so 'kahan gaye?' has an answer.
- Your accountant spends less time. They work from organised reports instead of rebuilding the year from registers.
- Family partners see the same numbers. When brothers or a father and son run the shop together, everyone works from one record instead of arguing over whose register is right.
Where Taajir fits with your accountant
Taajir is made for the day-to-day books of a trading business. It is not meant to replace the work of a qualified accountant who prepares your annual accounts and tax returns. What it does is hand that accountant clean, complete records, exported to PDF or Excel. You can give them their own login with limited permissions at no extra cost, and the audit log shows who changed what. If you are registered for sales tax, the FBR-style GST report comes from the same data. Taajir does not file returns for you. Your accountant files from the report.
Getting started

Standard is Rs 4,000 a month, or Rs 36,000 a year (Rs 3,000 a month effective). Business, for multiple warehouses, multi-currency and commission agent reports, is Rs 5,000 a month or Rs 50,000 a year. If you are moving from a desktop package, see Taajir vs Tally.
Questions people ask
Do I need to know accounting to use Taajir?
No. You record sales, purchases, payments and expenses in plain terms. Taajir keeps the ledgers and reports from those entries.
Can Taajir replace my accountant?
No. It keeps your daily records organised and complete. Your accountant still prepares annual accounts and returns, and will spend less time doing it.
Can I record bank, JazzCash and EasyPaisa payments as well as cash?
Yes. Payments in and out are recorded against the relevant party by method: cash, bank, JazzCash or EasyPaisa. One payment can be linked to several invoices.
Does Taajir show profit and loss?
Yes. The P&L summary is worked out from your sales, purchases and expenses. Charity and Zakat are kept in a separate ledger.
Does it handle sales tax?
Taajir includes an FBR-style GST report for registered businesses. It does not file returns for you or report invoices to FBR in real time. Your accountant files from the report.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. Taajir includes backups, an audit log and a recycle bin, so a deleted entry can be restored.
